The Congress

The 5th Annual Scottish Salsa Congress is going to be the biggest salsa party the UK has ever seen! This year we have even more world class teachers, a weekend packed with workshops, amazing professional performances, and of course the famous Kilt night.

If you've never been to a salsa congress before then it's pretty simple really. First comes the pre-party, this is where you'll be able to attend a lesson by some of the invited teachers and kick off the congress with a great night of social dancing. This is followed by two days of top quality classes (over 90 hours of classes in fact). The SSC attracts some of the best teachers from across the globe including the UK, Europe, America, Latin America and the Middle East. The congress will give you the opportunity to try something a little different; reggaeton, street salsa, bachatango or maybe even the Latin Hustle!

Every night the parties just get bigger and better. Social dancing carries on until the last person mambos off the dance floor in the wee hours of the morning. You can't miss the thrill and buzz you feel when you join in with hundreds of other salseras and salseros, the atmosphere is electric! You also you get an amazing opportunity to dance with the professionals, don't be shy, they genuinely want to pass on their knowledge and have some fun. So grab one and ask for a dance.
